Does Any of This Sound Familiar
If you're nodding along, you're not alone — these are the most common signs that a child needs early phonics support.
- My child guesses at words instead of sounding them out
- They get frustrated or avoid reading altogether
- They can memorise words but can't decode new ones
- Their teacher says they're "behind" in class
- You've tried apps and worksheets at home but nothing sticks
"You're not alone. These are the exact struggles our phonics assessment is built to uncover — and our program is designed to solve."

Common Questions from Parents
We know you have questions before committing to anything. Here are the ones we hear most often.
Is the assessment really free? No hidden costs?
Yes, complimentary — no payment, no deposit, no obligation at all. We offer complimentary assessments because we want you to make a fully informed decision about your child's learning. There is no pressure to enrol on the day.
How long does the assessment take?
The assessment itself takes about 20–30 minutes. After the session, the teacher will take a few minutes to share findings and answer your questions. Plan for about 45 minutes in total, though it can be shorter for younger children.
What ages do you accept for the assessment?
We assess children aged 3 to 8 years old (up to Primary 2). This covers our three program levels: Little Explorers (Age 4), Early Readers (Ages 5–6), and Confident Readers (Ages 7–8). If you're unsure if your child fits, just WhatsApp us — we're happy to advise.
My child has learning differences (dyslexia, ADHD, autism). Is the assessment suitable?
Absolutely. We have experience supporting children with dyslexia, ADHD, mild autism, and other learning differences. Our teachers adapt their approach to each child. Please mention this when you book so we can assign the most suitable teacher for your child's session.
What happens after the assessment? Do I have to enrol?
There is absolutely no obligation to enrol. After the assessment, you'll receive your child's reading level report and a program recommendation. You can take time to decide. If you do wish to enrol, we'll guide you through the next steps. Many parents enrol on the day because they see how comfortable their child felt — but it's entirely your choice.
Can we do the assessment online from home?
Yes! Our online assessment is just as thorough as in-person. You'll need a stable internet connection and a device with a camera (phone, tablet, or laptop). The teacher will conduct the session via video call using interactive digital materials. It typically works very well for children aged 4 and above.
If we enrol, how much does it cost?
Classes are $40 per session, held once a week — most families budget around $160/month. There are no registration fees or hidden charges. The assessment itself is completely complimentary with no obligation to enrol.
Is the program aligned with school English curriculum?
Yes. Our curriculum is designed to complement school English curriculum, reinforcing the decoding, phonemic awareness, and reading fluency skills that Singapore schools build on. Many students see direct improvement in their school reading performance after joining.
